Let's blame everyone but butthead, incompetent management.
Nice change of subject. But, I'm willing to fire on them as well. "Chainsaw" Al, one of the biggest A-holes of the decade. Lots of little ones who don't get the press as well. The ranks of "union management is filled with them. You're talking about a worker (not disclosing other perks to him ie, he is the most coddled employee in the plant and spends many company hours, making the rounds on company time, doing union business) I've worked in union plants and roomed with a union steward.
The $1,000 was a one-time donation. Combined with scores of other locals also contributing same, that's a pretty good chunk of change for the strikers' strike fund.
I call that chump change, I give 5x times that amount to various charities throughout the year. Besides your comment underscores my comments as to the insufficiency of these funds. Meanwhile members have lost homes due to strikes. Whole industries have fled these shores due to your union execs forcing strikes out of false pride. How's the UAW these days? Or Steelworkers? Textile workers?
Anyways, my views come from having been on BOTH sides of the fence where as you only have a union perspective. You may want to reflect your comments about bias, maybe not. Nevertheless, I'd prefer to let the subject drop while we are being gentleman. I believe I've expressed my views and so have you. |
