I sympathize with the loss of your child 3 years years ago. Certainly the choice of save one or lose both is not something I would wish to face. I suspect your wife's description of events might be a little less clinical. I do believe the law should allow for extreme medical situations. No doubt though even very conservative guidelines would be abused.

Regarding conception by rape, I saw a piece on the 700 Club a few years back where a young woman had been raped and she subsequently gave birth to a mixed race child which she kept. She had never regretted her decision and at the time of the story her daughter was in grade school.

In the great beyond, everyone will understand where they confused their priorities, including me.
