No that in itself is not mind boggling. WHAT is mind boggling is that JDSU's shares were bid up that high, and touted up that high by the analysts and momentum chasers, and that was the "THEN" market value of the stock shares which they paid for their acqusitions. Where the $50 Billion came from, how it ended up on the books, and how the accounting entry was reversed (written off) is not mind boggling. Thats all explainable and documented.

Again what is mind boggling is that Mutual Funds, Momentum Investors, Touts, Analysts, and ilk bid the stock price that high in the first place playing around with other peoples money. That is mindboggling to the extreme.
