The solution to energy profits, whether realized by either the Utilities selling power or to the ELONs/Honeywells/etc., of the world who want to sell "meters" is to INCREASE SUPPLY OF ENERGY, not niggardly fighting over allocation of what already exists
and then adding insult to injury by
wresting control from the consumer who has thePOWER NOW quite literally in their own hands.
And when the UTILITIES and the ELONs get too niggardly, there will be a revolt, perhaps a massive one this time as compared to the practice run in the 70s...
to alternative sourcing of energy, encouraged by tax-cuts blessed by politicians and sweared at by utilities,
so that THE individual consumer's lives and desire for purchase and access to energy which the consumer can afford will NOT be limited in any way.
While we may give up money, and volunteer some time and work soup-kitchens on Thanksgiving to feel good,
just you try to electrically meter/gore MY air-conditioned ox,
or my hot-water showered ox,
or my access to my laundry room 24-7-365 ox,
or my mid-afternoon soiree at the casino ox,
then DUCK!!!!!!!
There better be an increase in supply or else, who is ELON going to sell to after the last home is metered and the last toaster is wired and the last factory or office building has been installed!!!
Bet more of the affluent USA, and upwardly mobile European and 3rd world consumers feel EXACTLY the same way, and ELON does NOT offer MORE watts, not one single tinglely little stinkin' amp in their business plan.
What you FAIL to acknowledge or understand is this:
ELON and the HOneywells and the Utilities are playing a finite game.
It's basic Eric Berne..."Games People Play" (and yes, you can substitute the word companies, or utilities or meter technology companies for the word "People")...
Then maybe you'll understand my point about the finite game.
Never said there wasn't money to be made in the interim like you are trying to do...but ultimately, ELON is a 2 bit, now maybe a 3bit of 4 bit player in a FINITE game with its product mix and business plan.
