RDRAM should cost no more than 50% more than PC133 SDRAM at launch (Sept-Oct) and that delta should decline to 5% over six months. In otherwords, when people see Pentium-4, they should not even think about using anything other than RDRAM in it, from a performance/price perspective. ... #reply-14117049 Funny. Six months after Sept-Oct would have been March-April. But RDRAM was still many times more expensive than SDRAM at that time. In fact, RDRAM still is. What was wrong with this thinking? Do you suppose the problem was that the Rambus longs were ignoring everything that the memory makers were saying about costs and pricing? -- Carl
