When my wife is with...I just turn the blinker on - she looks around for me - then says "wait" or "go". I have found this to be much simpler and if I wreck...it is HER fault. If I am by myself, my head turns from far right to far left in .2 seconds. That leaves me with 1.8 seconds of following distance if the guy in front of me slams on the brakes. You guys spend too much time looking into mirrors.
