Glad it's been one of your strongest stocks since spring, MB. Was a LOT of folk's strong stock until about, oh, April 15th last year as well as I recall...then life happened, and it sank to $8 again.
Nope, not short.
A lot of disappointed ELONs bot at $100 plus and are still smarting from that experience...I could name you several still in the stock...all are wondering what the license number is of the truck that hit them.
It has an easy set of comparisons at this point, another reason why folks own it. And there is plenty of bandwagon effect in this stock as well.
BUT...
as spiral3 so eloquently said...he thinks metering puts control in the hands of the consumer when in effect it takes it away and puts it in the hands of the utility company, which up to now has only had the power to turn one off if one didn't pay their bill. Now, they are turning off without the benefit of ELON home metering devices. Guess how much easier it will be to turn off folks at will WITH ELON home metering on the outside of the home installation/factory installation.
You truly, in your heart of hearts, want to own a stock
which gives your utility that much more control over your lives, instead of creating more cheap electricity and thus encouraging more electrical consumption by buying more electrical gadgets?
I must have been asleep that day we all collectively decided that less electricity was better and that the utility selling it was the best arbiter of who gets how much when...
This ELON is a "finite game" stock at this point of its business plan and for the foreseeble future. When it teams up to PROVIDE MORE ELECTRICITY, now THAT is the deal I'll buy into...until then, the future of this puppy is limited.
So, if you have profits, then CONGRATS, and guard them carefully...
.....too many folks around here can sing in "solo voce" their sad dirge how ELON was going to the moon when they climbed on...at these AND mucho higher levels.
So nice of Spiral3 to put up his off the cuff, Freudian remark about control...for he actually hit the nail on the head as to what a LOT of ELON shareholders are thinking...and they were wrong last year by a BUNCH o'bucks.
