looks like they may have picked up a good pitcher. we'll see. i think he starts tomorrow. i wonder if they'll have kreuter catch him, or the kid, lo duca? this season baldwin is 7-5 with a 4.61 ERA in 17 games (16 starts) with the white sox. they sent the knuckleballer, springer down to AAA.

right now the dodgers are playing the best ball i've seen them play in a decade or more. everybody on the roster, from one end to the other, seems to be contributing. (i would say an exception to this, on the pitching staff, is mike fetters. he really seems to be having more than his fair share of tough luck, so maybe it's something else. but the fact remains, i personally don't feel very confident when he comes in from the pen. hopefully this changes and he regains his old form.)

manager jim tracy has to be the reason for the club's new attitude and excellent play. and jack clark as hitting coach is probably doing a few things right with the guys.

but to answer your question about baldwin, yes, i think LA did okay in that trade.
