Paul, RE<AMD's HyperHypedTransport has some competition !!> I would think you are miles better than those writers who try to pitch HT against 3GIO or others. Without digging deep into the 3GIO, IMHO, HT is basically a chip-to-chip bus technology while 3GIO will be mainly a board-to-board or box-to-box I/O technology. Theoretically, 3GIO will shine when optical interface is ubequitus in board-level or box-level I/O communications. That we are talking about a 5-10-years unknown. HT is here and now. And it's virtually free. 3GIO is still a hype. Let's see what will happen 5 years later. panic
