Hi Katherine, You left what is called a track control operation.The salesman you met was unempowered to negotiate and conclude a transaction. Your response was exactly correct. Don't walk out RUN. Can you imagine choosing to do business with a company that can't even give you a straight up price on a durable goods purchase that averages around $26,000.oo dollars. I suspect that if you called the better business bureau -they had a large file of consumer complaints. Most consumers are lured to these track stores as a result of huge tv advertising budgets.Most consumers don't get it.Someone has to pay for that advertising expense.I recommend usinf the manufacturers website. GM's even features an unbiased competitive analysis as well as a locator service which allows you to "peer into the 5 closest dealers inventory(based on your zip code)and request a quote on the vehicle. According to our agreement the customer must be responded to within 24 hours or else the dealer is warned - the second time he's suspended for 6 months.Just leave your e-mailaddress and they'll give you a drive out quote(assuming no trade). GMbuypower. You can bet there aren't any track store games going on in that kind of medium.(I make that statement as generality - there's always a Joe Isuzu out there).ggggg Bob
