Your sons may not be saving the world, but their being in college is helping alleviate a new gender imbalance that has arisen in the past generation. Women now make up 56% of college students, according to an article in the paper that discussed the dating and relationship problems this appears to be causing for college women.

I did a sample count of my '65 yearbook class pictures and it showed 39% women back then, so the times they've indeed been a-changin' in gender numbers.
