OT--<You got many bugs in Maine?> black flies for roughly 30 days, generally the month of June.For some,such as me,one bite is a vicious welt for about 2-weeks--so i am never without Deep Woods,which is 100% effective preventor of Black fly bite.Why they call them Black Flies,i have know idea---i like the term "no see'ums" better:) Little black specks from the belly of Hell.:) PaxMax
