Ralfph, I hope you’re building some raft capabilities into that sundeck after last night’s rain, maybe an awning that doubles as a sail. I’ve been thinking a bit about that gold going for the oil and gas play, Exall...but that’s as far as I’ve got so far. Thanks for the heads up. Just on the surface, it may be better than the uranium and oil play I’m back into with Denison and the charts look pretty decent. I see that there’s a nice big white candle after the indecision of the doji on the previous candle in Yahoo’s 5 year chart. Long term (since January 2000) the trend looks good, flattening out...maybe getting ready. Yeah, but is it a hustle? We may only know after the fact. Have you checked into the properties? Are they worth that much? I don’t have much experience in that area. I can remember when I bought a chunk of an old coal ghost town in Alberta for $1000: a nice quiet place to live. It seemed strange to stack up rocks for your winter’s warmth though.
I’m beginning to see how people can become goldbugs. I’ve been picking up a few more Black Hawk...it seems like a nice safe place.
That big DS cross in TSX was at 14:49 ET according to Trade Workstation. Yeah, there were 3,000,000 of them in that one big regurgitation and gulp. I was long gone by the time they began their earnest Friday Afternoon Dump. Actually, I was in before I knew it at 18 and then my sphnicter tightened. I guess it wasn’t technically daytrading in that I saved a few for Monday...maybe just to cast them on the waters...LOL. There wasn't any sense in selling into DS's action. But, I think the volatility in this one is worth cautiously playing into. There seems to be ample opportunities. Monday may be verrrry interesting...or not...and the pacing up and down is good for the waist line. David, you may have noticed that I put a disclaimer in at the beginning of my post on VLI’s shenanigans (shenanigans?) “I’ve done a very superficial and spurious look at 3D before getting sidetracked and off on a tangent of mystery and speculation.”. “Spurious” in my lexicon means “it don’t much matter”, so I haven’t looked much further. I did glance at their 5 year chart and right away it broke my cardinal rule of not taking a long term position in any downtrending stock. There seems to be a well established long term downtrend since about March of 2000. Actually, I don’t really watch enough TV to get me too enthused by its technological innovations. Jim O’Connoll and the analysts on ROBTV would probably come out as 2 dimensional at best with any system and The 3 Stooges have to be in black and white. Mind you, my wife, the archaeologist, would probably love to see down into the depths of some tomb and my kid will probably be around to see holistic images in every living room. But, they don’t buy stocks. I’m more interested in seeing around corners to try to figure out where a stock’s price and volume are headed by doing as thorough a job on fundamental and technical analyses as I can. Then I make my mistakes with a clear conscience. Good luck with this one David, I hope it works out for you. Happy Trails, Lenny |
