Former? I still live in a monarchy. I love it. Most of the laws are rather new. For instance, the laws against calling people at home came when people got annoyed by having sales people on the phone. And we really don't miss them. Rebates were prohibited, when people used pretty much time just buying stuff - stopping the rebates made it very easy to buy things: Compare the prices and buy where it's cheapest. It also increases competition. And it's legal to go swimming in the ocean, naked, from the beaches. When you go to the most famous beach in Copenhagen, you will find many naked people bathing. That's freedom. As far as I know about the U.S., it is illegal for women to be even topless at most beaches. That's pretty restrictive, I should say. :-) And downloading copyrighted songs from Napster is also still illegal in the U.S. And the DMCA doesn't exactly represent freedom - does it? Lars.
