Joanne,

Thx for the kind words. I am glad to see the charts, particularly the ndx and semis, are of some help in comparing progress with the dow. It is interesting that all indices are not always in synch, and this helps to understand why. I suppose if one was very ambitious, clx would be a handy tool to trade sector rotation. It seems that alternative energy is somewhat closer to the dow than the ndx at this point, which I wouldnt have expected. Does this help explain vlnc's recent surge?????...who noz

Ya gotta take your hat off to the people who developed Excel. It really is a powerful piece of software..as you say, there is a lot there. I've been using it at work steady for five years or so as part of our estimating package, and I'm probably lucky if I've used 50% of its capabilities.

Appreciate the thoughts on the font problem. I will give them a whirl sometime today. I had forgotten about the excel help site too. One thing I have done when embedding the chart is to stretch it to the very end of the worksheet. This will mean I wont have to strecth it in the future, and maybe this would have some effect on the font settings. I dunno. The long graph does allow you to use the graph as a calendar and mark important dates up ahead of the present time. thx again.
