Capitalism works on every persons innate greed

The same concept applies to everything; but of particular interest are the drug companies.

It is frightening to hear talk from the dems about how they want to control drug company profits, etc. I think it is absolute stupidity to consider interfering in the free market processes that brought us R&D that actually works.

Even though I'm adamantly opposed to the drug companies selling the same drugs for less money in other countries, I cannot bring myself to support the government's interference in this area, as I know that it will simply expand over time to result in more and more regulation.

It is really frustrating to me that there are so many people who simply don't understand how free markets work, and that when you start tinkering with them you really stand to make a mess of things. Again, I think California's power situation is about as good an example as you can get of what happens when government starts "fixing" things..
