Shhh- thank you for translating that for me--- I sat here trying to figure out what the heck a fith thamich was for a long time last night.... this is a true story. I started saying it aloud. "What are you doing?" asked my husband. "I can't figure this out," I said. "What's a fith samich?" "I dunno. Is it Jewish?" "No, I think it's Scotch-- he's talking about haddock." "Does he drink? Is it a fifth of something? A fifth of glenfiddich?" "I don't think so-- wait, I know, it might be her stomach... thamich- if you use a long a sound-- yeah- ok-he wanted to buy her a fifth stomach!" "Why? Weren't four enough?" "I guess she had trouble digesting haddock." "Well, who wouldn't." I can't believe I never thought of fish. But then, I never have liked fish sandwiches. Please keep this to yourself though, as JC and polvo will probably use my lapse of discernment as proof of urethral superiority.
