Georgia Peach:

Sorry it took so long to answer you about the Orioles. There are uusually 4 or 5 eggs in the nest and they are scribblely marked sorta if you can visualize that? They left quickly, and there were just one pair next door this season so no pictures sadly.

Meanwhile, we have seen another hatching of Ospreys on top of a telephone pole next to the river some distance from our house. Their giant nest of sticks and branches almost overwhelms the crosstree like a pack rat nest in the air.
The parents which are big birds continuously fly over and attend to the nestlings with their fish catches.

This year we have had a skunk rooting about our back yard in broad daylight - very unusual. We stayed out of his way as his tail hangs like warning flag over his entire torso.
This is the first time he showed himself as usually he leaves only a strong scent behind and many divots in the ground.

This same fellow I'm afraid was run over near our house and the odor for a few days was horrific until the local scavenger ass'n arrived in the form of our California Turkey Vultures. They cleaned him up entirely in 2 days.
