GENI is involved in illegal activities.
Just thought I would let you die hard investors know about some of the activities Genesis Intermedia is involved in.
My fiancee bought an "internet package" from Genesis Media Group back in September, 2000. After a hard sales pitch, they have done nothing they said they were going to do. They are using other company's names on their own contracts to deflect any complaints away from them. Even her credit card charge was under another company's name.
After a lot of investigating, they finally admitted the true name of their company. She was told from the very beginning that she would get a contract in the mail to review and if she wasn't satisfied with it, would get a refund of her purchase. She just received a copy of the "supposed" contract in June (9 months later). It, of course, didn't have her name on it, didn't have Genesis' name on it, had the wrong date (September 5, 2001!) and wrong amount of money charged to her credit card. Actually, there were 2 other company's names in the contract. We called them to verify that they had no involvement with Genesis. They denied any affiliation with Genesis and are looking into copyright infringement.
We are still waiting for our supposed refund. They keep telling us lies probably to stall. Becuase of the statute of limitations, we have to pursue legal action within the next month of so, or else we would have no recourse.

They can't even stay in the black with these kinds of activities. Imagine what will happen when these fraudulent internet marketing revenues are stopped. After reading some of your posts, I am not surprised by this at all.

just to warn you kmbmsb, geni has started an investigation into the slanderous statements you made. yahoo has been contacted to determine your identity, and from there will be contacting your isp. making statements that are false is a crime. i'm close to this, and don't like seeing people get blindsided. protect yourself.

I am not scared by your threats, and unless you identify yourself I would have to believe that you are either an employee of Genesis or I don't know who. If I was saying false things, I would not have my personal information included. Would I?
I will stand up in a court of law and testify to everything I have personally said.

To anyone doubting my statements or accusing me of slander (which would be slander against ME if my statements are not slanderous so perhaps you should watch out), I encourage you to take a look at the contract from Genesis with other company names on it. That is not slander. That is not false. That is REAL evidence. 2 pages, a cover page and the contract page from the same number on the same day at the same time.
Tell me you_be_screwed (which was obviously a name invented only for this purpose), how would I have produced such documentation? Where did I get the letterhead from?
I bet I could figure out your identity with 3 guesses..........

Nothing I have said is slanderous. I am giving my opinion of the company based on the facts of the situation and the things that have been said to us or faxed to us. I am not a party to the contract directly, but I have personally spoken with people from Genesis Media Group and Genesis Intermedia. I have been told on numerous occasions that we would receive a full refund. Once I was even told we would get back ALL of the money we put into it. To this day, we haven't received a dime back from them.
No one from the company that I have spoken with will give me information on the company Uclick. First, I was told no one there had any contact information for Uclick. Then, I was told later on by the same person, that they have a number for them but are not allowed to disclose it. Later, I was told by someone else at GMG that the company showing up on their database to provide services for the contract is Uclick. I don't think it is unreasonable to ask for contact information for a company involved in the $15,040 agreement. Uclick is a party to the contract and they refuse to give out their information. I have spoken with people who work for a company called Uclick in Kansas City, MO, and a company called uclick2learn.com in Sedona, AZ, and both deny having any affiliation with them and, in fact, have never even heard of Genesis Media Group. I am still awaiting an explanation to this. I even went as far as to set up a conference call with someone from uclick2learn.com in Arizona and GMG, and was told by an employee of Genesis Media Group that they were given instructions not to speak to me anymore and that I needed to contact their corporate attorney. Yet another thing that concerns me.
Needless to say, I have not said anything slanderous. Everything written about the events that have taken place our nothing but the truth. What reason would I have to lie about this? In case I didn’t mention it before, I have no ownership in GENI stock and would never care to. I just wanted everyone to know what happened to us. I just want to get back everything we were told we would get back.

you are correct. i created this name for this purpose. it's anonymous for a reason. i saw what another company and the sec did to a few other people prosecuted for this reason. i don't want this to happen to anyone else. when i saw them begin to take steps i acted. i'm anonymous because i'll get fired for tipping you off.

about GENI is difficult to say the least but making statements that are slanderous and actionable about a company of this caliber is just about impossible.
I happen to think that "you be screwed" is totally full of shit but it may interest others to know that the correllation of SLAPP lawsuits to impending financial collapse on the part of the plaintiff is well in excess of 85% and the correlation to eventual criminal prosecutions of company officers is in excess of 55%. The most prominent examples since chat rooms began are Fruit of the Loom, Lernout&Hauspie, ECNC, 2the Mart.com, BHUB and Varian.
Also recent legislation in 23 states makes these Message Board intimidation lawsuits elegible for summary dismissal under a very loose standard with the scumba,,,,err company liable for all court costs.
Finally if the person from Phoenix has an actual greivance, going after her would be incredibly stupid, even by GENI Management Standards. Truth is always a defense against Libel.

Mr. WiseOldSuperDuperGenuis, I do not claim to be all that wise myself. But if I did get screwed over by a company, the last place I would end up is on a message board.
For your education, first, I would probably go over and above the initial sales person head, of which Kat did not, and speak with them about my problem. Then I would probably go above that person's head, in this case to Mr. El-Batrawi himself, and discuss my issues with him.
Then if all else fails, I would go to the BBB of that area and give them a full report. I would then hire an attorney and contact the local attorney generals office. Itls really not that hard.
You are obvisouly not that WiseOldSuperDoubleDuperGenius that you claim to be, if you feel that the best place to go is a stupid message board. Do you really think that anyone here gives a shit about her sob story. Give me a break!

I did file charges with the BBB. The company would not respond to the BBB. I have filed complaints with the FTC, the SEC, and the Attorney General.
Yes, I did go above the original salesperson's head. You ass. Why would I choose to be harrassed by people like you? I have gone as far as I have been able to get responses, and that has been pretty far.
