Report: Weathers could provide relief

The Dodgers would like to make another deal for a pitcher before Tuesday's trade deadline. Los Angeles, interested in strengthening its bullpen, is looking at Milwaukee's right-handed reliever David Weathers, according to a report in The Los Angeles Times. Adding Weathers, a free agent at season's end, would ease the burden on setup man Matt Herges, who has pitched 70 2/3 innings in 48 appearances. Weathers is 3-4 with a 2.03 ERA and four saves through Sunday. Trying to acquire a reliever before the Tuesday trading deadline, the Dodgers have focused their efforts on Milwaukee Brewer right-hander Dave Weathers, baseball officials said Sunday.
