Lg...I've noticed a decreased posting vloume across the board on SI, and I'm sure it's due in large part to this range the indices have been trading in. I aalso remember distinctly how volume of posts on the old MDD thread would fall way off to practically nothing during times of excessive bullishness...or complacency.

This thread is about quality...not quantity. Personally, I'd rather read only a couple well thought out posts a day, than sift through more or less a bunch off topic dicussion. Many threads out there to use together.

In regards to your thoughts on distribution on the NYA...could you explain to me why you do not consider these volume spikes in the trading range distribution. I was under the impression from some of your insight that this type of action could be viewed as such.

Do you still feel the NYA will bounce from the possible 8/7 +/- lows around 575 as outlined in your 7/8/2001 commentary?

I believe that if the NYA gets down to 575, it will have breached the '95 trendline on my chart, along with breaking support of the 1998 highs, and it will have broken down out of the bearish rising wedge I've shown also. This would be a major negative.

Thanks for suffering my inexperienced take... I realize in this type of market direction is increasingly difficult to discern as time goes on.

Best Regards,

John
