You are a fool.

The power crisis in California disappeared in July. A major reason is that Californians have been conserving like demons.

Peak rates for the generator companies the dropped from the $500 to $2900 per megawatt hour range to an average of $82 in July. The state was selling some of its surplus power back into the market that it had under contract.
