Dear Geoff, This is first time I have posted to this site.I am also an AAPL investor,living a long way from the action in the West of Ireland. Today I went to the Appple store to buy one of their machines. The sales asst talked about Apple ( they have a manufacturing facility in Ireland),he seemed very confident and informed me AAPL will post a profit in Q3.I indicated that he was joking which made him more cocky. He reckoned a small profit and better in Q4.They say the best place to find out about any company is to visit the store(s), I find this a good indicator. Apple have a cashback scheme in Europe. You buy the machine with a promisory note of all your money back in 5 yrs. The asst told me this was going down great, no nimbers.I believe this asst also owns a piece of the store(s).He raved about the Newton Asst. The recptionist smiled and was most helpful. Both people did not look like passengerd on a sinking ship, quite the contrary.We Irish cannot pretend and smile if things are bad. I do not plan to buy more stock at present, best wait for the results. Could be another DEC, one swallow does not bring the spring.(thinking) Irish Paddy
