The state was selling some of its surplus power back into the market that it had under contract.

This is hardly evidence of savings from conservation. Perhaps you are confusing "conservation" (i.e., finding more efficient ways of doing things) and "doing without" (i.e., turning off the A/C and sweating it out). These are two totally different things.

Perhaps in California the flaming liberals are willing to give up their AC for the summer. But here in Arkansas, where it gets HOT, I'm not even thinking about it! In fact, we're putting in a second unit just to keep it under 70 degrees in the middle of a 100+ day.

The power crisis in California was an outgrowth of poorly planned legislation, which can be totally anticipated when you get nitwits running governments who think they have to be in control of everything.

The CA power shortage will hopefully serve to remind future generations what happens when you let liberals run a government.
