I smell a rate cut coming. A Greenspan surprise.
Before the next Fed get-together. Perhaps, a half point.

The reports due out this week could be so bad as to push Greenspan over the ledge. And the market is ripe for a not-looked-for rally, technically. Too much bearishness in key indicators. AAII and Put/Call Ratio.

His last bullet, so to speak. Just a feeling. Nothing concrete. A last gasp effort to reassure the markets that everything is going to be okay. If this happens, we will be witness to the desperate act of a pleading Fed Chairman. And when that doesn't work either, what then?
