Quidel had the first whole blood rapid H.ylori test on the market, approved by FDA
in 4-96 I believe. For details of the Quidel test, Please go to Helicobacter Pylori foundation homepage
and check out the approved diagnostic devices. Besides the Qdel whole blood test, the only other rapid test approved (until Chemtrak's) is the Flexsure test from Smith-Kline, but it is a serum test, not
a whole blood test. I don't knowq much about Chemtrak test, but I've seen Qdel's test and it is impressive, especially considering it sell for approx. only $14.00 or so
Qdel has first rate technology. Check 'em out.
