You've come up with quite a mulligan political stew by commingling present-day USA with Russia in 1919 and Germany in the 1936. Totalitarianism is the political mechanism that drives the economic principle of communism, is it not? Totalitarianism also could drive other economic models, could it not?

You say the right wants small government. Please provide some examples of how a Republican presidency accomplished this from, say, the time of Ike to the present day. Thanks.
