But as usual, you didn't quite get it right. I'd say I qualify as a conservative Republican. I'm not particularly fond of gays; that's true. But I am prochoice. Sorry to screw up your stereotype.

Now, about those Christians....
First, I am not a Christian. In fact I am not religious. (There goes another stereotype.)
HOWEVER: Aren't they entitled to Freedom of Religion? It's in the Constitution and they're not excluded.
Aren't they entitled to Freedom of Speech? It's in the Constitution and they're not excluded.
Aren't they entitled to Freedom of the Press? It's in the Constitution and they're not excluded.
Aren't they entitled to Freedom of Assembly? It's in the Constitution and they're not excluded.

That means they are entitled to have and express their own opinions. Whether you like it or not.
They are entitled to express their opinions about gays and abortion. They are also entitled to try to get an anti-abortion amendment. I hope they are not successful, but they are entitled to try.

If you expect your freedom, maybe you should be willing to grant it to others.
