He got a few things right:
-listen to gun owners, solve real problems and fight for gun rights and responsibilities.

and
-No one doubts Democrats will have a hard-time winning elections if they ignore or insult the values of gun-owning Americans.

and
-Finally, betting on the NRA to stay out of most races, much less endorse Democrats, is a sure loser.

The author of this article is still as ignorant as a sack of rocks even though he finally realized he was on the wrong side of a losing battle.

Just why do you think the NRA is so active politically?
- It is because the NRA is made up out of people like me. Politically inactive except for having one of the highest voting rates of any group in the country, we know who we are, where we stand, and that we stand on the Constitution.

-We stay focused on our issue and don't get distracted by people who try to bring in irrelevant topics under the umbrella.

-We put our money where our mouth is, even when it hurts. And it does, because most of us are little people like me with limited means.

-We don't put our mouths where other people's money or interests are, a quality I fervently wish would be held by other political action groups. Most of the left-wing positions promoted on this board fairly reek of meddling in the activities of others. But the NRA does not do that. We stand only for our own activity and interests.

Long live the NRA!
