If you were following GG principles by the book, HDR wouldn't have been a deciding factor at that point.

I disagree. When an investor is confronted with the choice of deploying assets, there are obvious choices to make such as which enabling and app stocks should be purchased. If I'm considering an enabling product that has the potential to enjoy the benefits of multiple tornados or a different product that is likely to benefit from only one tornado, if all other issues are essentially equal I'm going to choose the former product to invest in. I think Moore is very clear in the book about looking for companies that can leverage their initial Gorilla status in other markets and that, thus, the issue about HDR could easily be a deciding factor two years ago when I invested.
