The most important asset a clinical specialist brings to a firm is the network of contacts needed to set up clinical trials. These require delicate negotiations and the clinical specialist would hopefully have the credibility and contacts in the speciality area, ie have contacts with leading researchers. BTW if phase 1 trials were successful, we'd be reading aboyt it. David
