I think this remark is worthy of further discussion.

Most people would argue that Bill Clinton was highly intelligent; yet he made the worst governor the state has had in my lifetime, and was the worst failure as a president since LBJ.

Leadership takes more than sheer intellect. It requires principle, decency, determination, and a confluence of many other factors. While Bush, for example, may not be as bright as Clinton (although all the evidence is that he is exceptionally bright), he has clearly shown superior leadership ability. It doesn't all boil down to intellect. Smart people can have bad judgment -- happens every day.

So, when you pick on Bush or Huck or anyone concerning their intellect, you're really demonstrating your own ignorance. Those of us who do have superior intellect recognize the symptom a mile away, so it doesn't really clutter up the argument -- it allows us to consider the source and disregard the statements.

However, you would do yourself a favor to learn to criticize on substantive grounds rather than these subjective remarks as to "ignorance" or "stupidity". It just shows you're own...
