No they are not. Fab 30 180nm process uses 100nm gates.

AMD's 130nm process uses 50nm gates.

But, in brief, the AMD HIP7 process, now under preparation in Dresden, based on 0.13-micron stepping, uses a 50nm channel/gate length, so reducing the size by 2.5 during the six years period, as Intel promises, is nothing exciting. If you don't believe this, just ask Gordon Moore."
