Brees, if you want to take pot shots at Steven for that, you'll have to take them at me, too, because I agree with him on everything except Ingatius Reilly( but then I haven't read the book <g>). If you're high fiving me, then you're high fiving him, too, because I don't see a difference.

I, too, would characterize teenage sex as stupid rather than indecent. I, too, find nothing indecent about pre-marital sex and think that couples are better off having had some experience with sex before marriage. And I started into this discussion arguing that harping about decency won't work on all or even most kids. We need a plan B. Remember?

It's possible to hold all those views and still think that sex belongs in mutually caring relationships, still eschew sex for entertainment, still protect your kids from sexual experiences. I know I wouldn't find "dates" for my kids and I assume that Steven wouldn't either. I don't see how you can draw that conclusion from anything he said.
