Brothers -- asking for comment on a verse I read in my study this morning: Jesus message to the churches in Asia Chapter 3 starting in verse 14 Jesus chastises the Laodiceans for being lukewarm and them encourages them to take the remedy verse 18 "I advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire, that you may become rich, and white garments, that you may clothe yourself, and that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and eyesalve to annoint your eyes that you may see." The language seems figurative to a great degree. What are some ideas on what Jesus is referring to here in the gold and garments and eyesalve? TIA Barry
