i don't agree. e machines tried to GIVE 'em away with internet service and failed miserably. people buying new will want the best, not just good enough. hell you can go to tigerdirect.com and buy gateways loaded for $500 or less. that is not what intc or dell is about. i think the "people" will buy machines that will play all the new games and games into the future. i can hear the kids now. "come on mom, a ps 2 is $400 . why not get a dell 8100 for $999 and you can look up recipies amd maybe get a date! rocky
