Tony, Re: CPU, memory and hard drive. They are all configurable.

The most important factor on overall laptop performance besides the CPU is the chipset (especially since almost all designs have an integrated graphics solution). And that can't be swapped easily. The only way to compare the CPUs properly against each other in such an environment would be the use of synthetic benchmarks like CPUMark.

Like I said: There's a reason why you don't see laptop reviews from Anand, Tom, Sharky, etc.
