I believe this news is very relevant. Are there still raging bulls out there that try to drown out any negative news that doesn't fit their deluded little world? I thought they all died in April...

My interpretation of this news is that SUNW, which previously was extremely reluctant to cut heads, has decided to do a little trimming. Any company of this size can find at least 300 people who are not pulling their weight, so I do not believe it will hurt them at all.

What I believe is significant is that SUNW is telling us that they do not believe the recovery will be in Q3 or Q4, but instead in 02. Why else go through the internal and external trauma of cuts when they could just as well attrition that many people out over the next few months? They believe they will need to further lower their cost basis, that revenues will not rise to fill the gap.
