Stephen, I may be wrong, but I would expect that from the time a decision was made to implement your suggestion until the lower grade ore had been turned into saleable gold, some number of months would have passed. If the strike was over by that time or not long after and the POG returned to its previous lower value, then there would be a loss on the capital spent.

Maybe one of our resident mining experts can provide a SWAG on how long it would take to start producing from a lower grade.
