It's how they vote on organization that makes a difference. It's especially important in the Senate, where the "conservative" Dems from the South get brow-beaten by Puff to shill for things like the Trial Lawyers Bill of Rights. I wouldn't give you 2-cents for any "blue dog" Democrat. The key Republican tasks are now to beat them where they're weak in 2002, and purge, as necessary, liberal Republicans from the caucaus.
