Good post, Frank.

We've got exactly the same political problem with defacto socialists in the US. They run from the word like the plague. But when it comes to policies it's always more government and less private economy. But the American electorate are rarely given the truth about where this constant growth of the public vs the private sector will end.

To keep the momentum going in that direction there's been a powerful disinformation and mud slinging against business, especially natural resources, power and manufacturing sectors for decades by the political left. But without their many allies in the old elite media strong hold - the New York based TV networks, the major universities and the American Federation of Teachers they'd never be able to manipulate public opinion to distort the issues and promote their socialist agenda.
