RAINDROP CONDUCTS DUE DILIGENCE ON DIAMOND PROSPECTS
IN ETHIOPIA

Calgary, Alberta.. Mr. Harry Joujan, President of Raindrop Resources Ltd
(RAP.ASE) announces that Raindrop has entered into negotiations on a
diamond prospect in Ethiopia. As a result of a 20 year civil war, which
ended in the early 1990's, exploration in this area was not previously
possible. New legislation introduced in 1995 has made Ethiopia an exciting
and politically stable country to explore.

During the 1960's and 1970's, a regional geological survey was conducted by
international aid agencies to locate mineral deposits and promote
exploration and development. Identified as targets due to their
kimberlitic appearance and the presence of indicator minerals including
sapphire, are the alkaline intrusives at Babu Gambella.

The ring shaped intrusives, visible in aerial photographs, outcrop along
regional lineaments controlled by a large suture zone. Breccias, closely
associated with these intrusives, consist of lithic fragments and crystals
set in a serpentine-calcite-zeolite matrix. The crystals include:
Cr-diopside, zircon and titanium augite. Heavy mineral fractions from
stream sediment sampling conducted by UNDP geologists contain ilmenite,
spinel, red aluminium garnet, zircon and corundum.

The Babu Gambella concession, in southwest Ethiopia, is located within a
stable block cut by the probable rift structure of the Dabus Valley. This
rift structure is on line with the northern projected extension of the
diamondiferous Mozambique Belt. Several productive kimberlite fields are
hosted by this belt which can be traced from South Africa to Tanzania. Due
to these compelling kimberlite indicators, Raindrop will conduct due
dilligence on a joint venture on a 200 km 2 property encompassing the
intrusives at Babu Gambella.

Raindrop has contracted diamond expert Dr. Ulrich Kretschmar of Kretschmar
International Geoscience Corporation to accompany Raindrop's VP of
Exploration, Doug Dauphinee, to investigate the source of these kimberlite
indicators and to determine the potential of the extension of the
productive diamondiferous Mozambique Belt. Raindrop will dispatch this
exploration team immediately.
