Can anyone tell me why, if this is the "worst downturn ever" for the semis, these stocks aren't even near their historical lows on a Price to Sales and Price to Book basis? 1996 and 1998 saw losses in the semi sector and stocks fell to 1.5X book and sales. Why should they be at 4X and 5X these valuations in the worst year ever? Is everyone falling over themselves to get in to these stocks for the eventual recovery?

This stinks.
