I find it disturbing as well. I was at a banquet where horse meat was being served and it turned me off everything else that was available.

Most horses that wind up at the glue factory were not raised for human consumption, mostly there are huge parasite problems with horse meat. Beef cattle on the other hand were raised from day one with human consumption in mind.

I know people who have been stranded in remote locations where food supplies ran out. They say when you are hungry enough you will soon change your feelings on what you will eat.
