The mayor is guilty of enticing a child into a sexual relationship and you see this as a lesser crime than Clinton having sex outside his marriage?!!
First, you should know that Clinton is guilty of having raped one woman, abused his power in entering into a relationship with a near-teenager, sexually harrassed and made unwanted advances toward employees, and lying under oath to cover it up. That said, these crimes certainly do not, in my mind, outweigh the crimes comitted by the mayor.
However, the fact that it was the president, i.e., the leader of the nation who should have higher standards, and that he destroyed numerous people, as well as his credibility by lying, all these things together make the seriousness of the issue bigger. Not the crime. But it is more serious because instead destroying the life of one victim he destroyed the lives of hundreds of people in his cover up. It was the sickest set of acts any president has ever committed.
With respect, I must say that anyone who concludes Clinton's activities were merely "sex out of marriage" is not competent to even discuss the subject. No reasonable person would draw such a conclusion. THERE WAS RAPE, ABUSE OF POWER, LYING UNDER OATH, SEXUAL HARRASSMENT, AND UNWANTED SEXUAL ADVANCES, NONE OF WHICH ARE "SEX OUT OF MARRIAGE". |
