I don't think JDSU makes fiber cable, and it appears that the LU plant Furukawa is buying doesn't make anything but cable. In fact, it appears that the cable plant they're buying makes products that call for even more products like those that JDSU makes. It's like buying a pasta plant -- it's not spaghetti marinara without the sauce. <g>. Please let me know if I'm wrong about this.
