The idea that Katherine Harris had any sort of "firewall" erected around herself is ludicrous in light of the fact that she was openly serving as a state chairwoman of the Bush campaign. It seems kind of elementary to suggest that if the Supervisor of Elections wishes to seem impartial and not subject to party influence, she should not be on the campaign staff of either candidate!
