Kirk:Now we have the market standing on its head and the "smart" looking discussion posters are the "shorts". My guess is many will be stuck covering and then be at levels too high to get in and enjoy good gains.

ex-Dilbert: Every shorter has a "max pain" point to cover. If this is the bottom at these absurd prices then fine, you bubbleheads go buy these tulips without me. I'll pass on this upswing.

You miss the point completely. I have ALL THE STOCK I NEED at below current levels. I'll be taking profits as the market goes higher and buy it back if it goes lower.

Those like you in cash have to figure out when it is safe to buy... and pay much higher taxes than those of us that have long term core positions and trade at the fringes. I'll be looking to take major profits when people like you "reverse capitulate" and pay up to get back in the market at much higher levels but when you feel the fundamentals and trend is positive again.

Nothing wrong with your position... you could be right and get some real bargains, but the risk is the market just goes up a nice 10% a year for the next ten years and you complain here that it is nothign more than tulips. We sure heard enough of that song in the 1990's from the perma bears.
