The article you cite ... is seven years old and predates the internet's commercial growth period.

You are really funny!

Think about it:

(1) the article about lack of IT benefits is even older, yet you had no problem referring to it.

(2) You asked for a pre-chained weighted study, then complain that the article is old.

(3) The article quoted is all about a positive link between computers and productivity (follow the footnotes for more details).

(4) You say: The critics of the productivity paradox just say "oh ya, well prove there is no improvement" without offering any proof that there is an improvement --

The article I sent quotes studies showing large increases in productivity in the manufacturing sector seemingly due to IT.

(5) Lastly, it is the onus of people making outlandish claims to prove them. You cannot come in here and claim there's little green men under your desk and then challenge us "you haven't offered any proof that there are no little green men under my desk".
