Paul, Intel investors, caught a little piece on CNBC, on Maria's segment, as they touched on the Barron's kiss of death article about AMD (it's like being on the cover of Sports Illustrated if you're an athlete). This was after talking about Intel's kind of encouraging words from Craig, from Asia. Quoted Sanders as saying he'd "had it up to here with Intel, give me a friggin' break, dealing with Intel for 30 years and they are the most arrogant bunch ever." Also quoted the "Intel will make my life a living hell" bit. No interview, on screen quotes only.
The did have a filmed interview with Craig Barrett about Sanders' tirade, asking about Sanders' latest screams. Craig said he didn't pay too much attention to what AMD says. Went on to say that Intel has about a $200 billion market cap, AMD about $5B, so it appears Intel is more important to the computer industry than AMD is. Also said that he worries more about the superiority of Intel's products and customer satisfaction than about AMD.
One of the women on CNBC, don't think it was Maria, said something like "oh my" after this piece was over. I guess Sanders is going to go down blubbering away, nothing new here. I always have to wonder if any upper level microprocessor customer people, with yea/nay vote over whose chips to use might wonder about this guy's sanity, and make decisions accordingly. "You'll never get fired for specifying Intel" might become more true, if possible.
